A Clear Path to Partnership Equity opportunity

UMP offers more than just the traditional physician employment model by providing a defined pathway to partnership that allows you to participate in the success and equity of the platform that you help build. Our partnership model is structured to reward clinical excellence and contributions to create a model wherein physicians are not just participants but stakeholders.

Long-term wealth creation

Unlike health system employed models, our partnership pathway is designed to drive meaningful financial upside that extends far beyond the typical productivity-based income. This includes equity participation tied to overall performance, allowing physicians to benefit from not only their individual success but also the continued growth of their organization.

Rather than being limited to annual compensation, our model is built to support long-term wealth accumulation and offers a pathway to participate in growth that extends beyond your own practice and into the future of the organization.

As UMP expands across markets, enhances payer partnerships and increases access to patients, physicians have the opportunity to share in that value creation over time.

Why Physicians are Choosing UMP

Leadership participation

At UMP, physicians have the opportunity to play an active role in shaping clinical care, operational strategies and market expansion. Through structured physician governance and leadership opportunities we create an environment where physician perspectives are highly valued and an integral part of how the organization evolves. Governance, committees and defined leadership roles remove the layers of administration getting in the way and allows physicians to provide real input and the ability to act on it.

This level of involvement reinforces alignment across the organization and ensures that UMP remains physician led and focused on improving patient care.

Autonomy

Practice Medicine Without the Bureaucracy

UMP's founding principle was that physicians should have control over how they practice medicine. Rather than operating in a rigid and highly bureaucratic environment filled with red tape and long decision making.

Opportunities in Clinical Research & Innovation

UMP supports physician‑led clinical research through an established Clinical Research Committee within our National Physician Leadership Board NPLB, providing governance and strategic direction for research and innovation across the platform. With UMP executive sponsorship and support from Welsh, Carson, Anderson & Stowe, UMP is building the infrastructure and partnerships to advance outcomes‑based research, data‑driven publications, and collaboration with academic and industry partners.

Our research efforts are led by physician leadership and reflect UMP's commitment to advancing musculoskeletal care while supporting physicians interested in innovation and evidence‑based practice. Read more about UMP's clinical research leadership in Becker's Spine Review.
