Five Orthopedic Practices in Dallas Unify as OrthoTexas

Dallas-based practice will be one of the largest independent practices in Texas

DALLAS, TEXAS - (June 3, 2026) - All-Star Orthopaedics, AOA Orthopedic Specialists, North Texas Orthopedics & Spine Center, Orthopedic Associates and OrthoTexas have announced plans to unite under a single shared identity and operate collectively as OrthoTexas beginning in November 2026. The transition will create a newly integrated orthopedic and spine organization spanning more than 70 physicians and 22 locations across the Dallas-Fort Worth region, forming one of the largest independent musculoskeletal practices in Texas. The new OrthoTexas organization represents the unification of several independent orthopedic and spine practices across North Texas and will seek to expand further across the state in the coming months.

Patients will continue to receive care from the physicians and care teams they know and trust, while also benefiting from expanded access to specialists, improved scheduling capabilities and a more integrated network of orthopedic and spine services throughout the region. Physician specialties will include orthopedics, spine, sports medicine, joint replacement, hand &upper extremity, foot & ankle, pain management and physical medicine & rehabilitation.  OrthoTexas will also offer on-site physical therapy, X-ray and MRI at many of its locations.

"Coming together as one group allows us to create a more seamless experience for patients and preserves the culture and clinical autonomy that made each practice successful," said Dr. Michael Briseño, Chairman of OrthoTexas. "By bringing multiple practices into a single organization we can make orthopedic and spine care more connected, more accessible and easier to navigate."

All-Star Orthopaedics, AOA Orthopedic Specialists, North Texas Orthopedics & Spine Center, Orthopedic Associates and OrthoTexas are partnered with United Musculoskeletal Partners (UMP), one of the nation's largest orthopedic management platforms.

"Although all of the practices were partnered with UMP, we operated as independent entities under different names and operating models," said Dr. Manuj Singhal, Vice Chairman of OrthoTexas. "This often resulted in fragmented care as patients sought treatment for orthopedic and spine conditions at different practices across the market. The establishment of OrthoTexas signals the beginning of a new chapter in musculoskeletal care in North Texas and is one that is more collaborative, convenient and connected."

Leadership from the participating practices emphasized that the transition is designed to strengthen collaboration while maintaining the physician-led approach that has defined each organization for years. OrthoTexas physicians also plan to continue investing in physician recruitment, clinical technology and operational infrastructure to support long-term growth and innovation.

"As healthcare continues to evolve, scale and alignment are becoming increasingly important," said Dr. Eric Wieser, a member of the OrthoTexas board. "This move allows us to strengthen our presence across Dallas-Fort Worth while remaining focused on delivering exceptional outcomes, preserving physician leadership and decision making that impacts patient care across the organization."

Additional details regarding branding, clinic integration, patient communications and expanded services under the OrthoTexas name will be announced in the coming months.
