Get to Know Deena
Prior to joining UMP, Deena spent
over four years as Chief Compliance Officer for Springstone, a behavioral health system with 18 hospitals
in nine states. Deena was also the Chief
Compliance & Privacy Officer at ResCare, Inc. (now Brightspring Health
Services), the country's largest provider of home and community-based services
to complex populations, and was their Associate General Counsel for 13 years
prior to her CCO role.
Deena has extensive experience in
compliance, including Stark Law, False Claims Act, internal investigations,
regulatory matters, and data privacy. Deena received her JD from the Brandeis School of Law at the University
of Louisville and her MSPH and BS from the University of Kentucky. She is certified in Health Care Compliance.
Deena resides in Louisville, Kentucky with her husband, Richard. She enjoys playing tennis, pickleball, gardening, travel and has recently started banjo lessons.
